CTE Advisory Committee

The district Career and Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Committee is a vital link between the CTE program, business, and industry. The CTE Advisory Committee will assist in assuring the relevance of the CTE program, help to create a partnership between CTE and the community, and increase public awareness of the career opportunities provided in our local schools.

The goal of the advisory committee is to make sure that our programs provide students with the necessary skills to succeed in the workplace. Members will provide:

  • information to update, modify, expand and improve the quality of CTE programs;
  • support to strengthen the relationship between business, industry, the community and education;
  • recommendations to strengthen and expand the curriculum; as well as, provide assistance in implementing these recommendations;
  • assistance in identifying needs, determining priorities, and reviewing and evaluating programs; and
  • guidance for long-term goals and objectives of the CTE program to parents, employers and the community.
